Ah man Steve and Riss, I'm sorry for you two. Bein robbed is the worse thing I fear sometimes, (knock wood). I know it's only material afterall, but knowing someone else has been in the place you live, and stole your personal stuff is something that upset me so much! I wud hate that. Hate those guys!

Hey Steve. that sucks. big schweaty balls. I have freakin' nightmares about this happening to me. my condolences man. what a shame.

Last time I was in LA i picked up this wireless network drive by a company called Tritton. it's like a hard drive with a wireless router attached. I bought it to stick in some closet somewhere in case people steal my shit, that i still have a back-up (away from the other gear). only problem is that I have to change wireless networks in order to do back-ups. stoo-peed.

Steve, I'm soooo sorry - I hope they find your stuff. I know it's terrible that they took your things but thank god no one got hurt and your kittys were left alone. Karma comes back to bite people in the ass and these people/person are going to get a shark bite when it finally catches up to them. Why would they leave your guitar and amp? I can't even count how many times I've worked hard on a project, only to have it be completely obliterated by a power outtage. I sympathize, Steve. I have felt the frustration you feel in having to start the website from scratch at least twice a year. I rationalize it this way: I am a creative. I get focused. I don't stop to save or back-up because then my creative flow may be broken. The IT guy... he's the one who's supposed to do the backing up, yeah. :-)

who is determinedmoth and how does he have Steve's address? Who are the moderators of that forum? They should be checking his IP address to see his location and questioning him about that. Usually if they have that type of information people just innocently post things like that without intending any harm. They should know better though. I was so saddened to read the news. I can't even imagine all the emotions you must be feeling. Like Freak said, if I could be a help in any way, just say the word.

I would seriously pursue that post from that other board. I find it extremely disturbing that someone would invest the time and energy into a "hate" board about anybody, but that's another issue. I haven't been to that board because I don't want to fuel negativity, but if someone posted something there that was harmful to you, report it to the police.

As frustrating, annoying and time consuming as it will be, technically, most of the stuff is replacable. Like you said, it could have been way worse. Just get yourselves together and don't stress about the site. None of us are going anywhere. Take your time. It can wait.
