Speaking of iPods...I received a Bose SoundDock for Xmas (pretty awesome!) However, I have an older iPod without the docking connector on the bottom. Is there some way I can use an adapter to connect or do I have to actually buy a newer iPod? I cannot figure this out from the web site or instructions.

Freak, I don't know the generation, but it is a 20G click-wheel version. It does not have a connector slot in the bottom like the new ones, which is what is required to plug into the Bose SoundDock (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/71302/wo/wb6wnejOAVmS2wNdMgI1qM1U6AG/5.0.11.1.0.6.25.7.11.0.3). I want to connect some other way. You probably already understood that...

I saw White Noise this past weekend too, SO DISAPPOINTING! Not that I had really high hopes for it, but I was expecting more. That was the most unfocused movie I've ever seen! They couldn't decide on mystery/thriller/horror/drama.

what on earth are you people talking about. i guess youve all seen dave navarro on the mtv show with carmen electra and think he's 'hot' so now you're all into the dave navarro vibe. the fact that on the set i downloaded of the panic channel someone shouted 'where's carmen?' twice shows that the panic channel is just a big joke. and the singing on bloody mary SUCKS. steve, no offence but you should keep to the skycycle pop punk (i like the skycycle ep i own, and 'figure 8' RULES) but you just don't belong in a heavy rock band.

bloody mary has NO distinguishing features. It is unbelievably generic. You need to come up with your own style rather than the samey, uninspirational bile we've all heard before.

Listen to some of the music that's out there now and see how they're coming up with different styles and ideas so they don't sound like everyone else.

Although I hope hope HOPE I'm wrong, I absolutely LOVE Jane's Addiction but Bloody Mary made me feel so BORED. I BEG you to come up with something NEW. I hate to make this comparison (but it's a comparison you're going to be faced with for years) but Perry Farrell's album 'Song Yet To Be Sung' is something totally new and, in my opinion, revolutionary.

And 'Start of Darkness' is that a JOKE? That is the most CLICHE thing I have ever heard in my LIFE. I actually burst out laughing when I read that.

Dave Navarro described Panic Channel as 'a goth Rush', have you people actually heard any Goth music, or does the fact that the front cover of your CD will likely be black mean that you can call yourself a goth band?

I hate to sound like a c*nt which I probably am sound like, but I LOVE jane's, and I really really really want to LOVE the panic channel as well, but the stuff I've heard is just so cliche and generic. My fingers are crossed.

Charles, if you're going to write something like that, then elaborate.. please tell us who exactly you think the Panic Channel sounds like?
And what do you know about Project P? In terms of rock, when has "Start of Darkness" been used?
interesting how you say you "LOVE" Jane's, when at the same time that's who the Panic Channel in essence is...

Just listen to the album when it comes out and go to the shows, if you give it a chance I'm sure you'll like what you hear. Not that you HAVE to like what you hear, but since they are a recently revived and restructured entity currently working on writing and recording the music I figure it would make sense to wait and listen to everything properly once it's finished THEN make a decision on what you like and don't like about their music instead of (apparently) hearing one or two things done live and posting here to let everyone know how much you dislike it.

To me Jane's is Perry Farrell, Eric Avery, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins. Don't get me wrong, I thought Strays was a GREAT record, but still I believe Perry Farrell WAS the main force behind Jane's. You only have to listen to Porno for Pyros' album 'Good God's Urge' or his solo album to hear the sheer beauty and originality he is capable of.

And I'll be honest, I downloaded a live set and I was not particularly impressed. This is just my opinion, I'm not trying to slag anyone off. I'll reserve judgement until the release which I will get on day 1 regardless.

And let's be honest, I've heard as much as the Panic Channel if not more than all the people that come on here and 6767 just to blindly praise Isaacs and Navarro as if they had nothing better to do.

I just have to say that I appreciate being part of this community and involved in a remarkably unprecedented way.

Now, what Charles states is some seriously hardcore critique I didn't want to admit myself, but in many ways I have to aggree: "Goth Rush"?? Ug! Goth anything has to be cafefully considered...I know it was prolly an offhand comment on Dave's part but I too am keeping my fingers crossed the lot of you don't appear on stage complete with black nail polish and, gulp, capes!? Ok, maybe on Halloween : )

Now, for some constructive criticism...Steve, I KNOW your voice is perfectly capable and the live tracks prolly shouldn't be weighted with too much regard. Having said that, consider Jane's "Strays": Rock power(!) unleashed with a largely flat result. I know you are the "new" guy but this is YOUR band too and restraint AND dynamics must be balanced just right. Yeah?

So, keep up the good work I look forward to the studio tracks. Oh, and no one here in SF is going to ask where Carmen is...

Unlike a lot of bands, we are opening this thing up from the ground floor. We are allowing the evolution to unfold publicly, rather than waiting for a nice slick, polished release and a label. Your comments are fine and all, but the main thing you forgot about is that we don't really give a fuck. We are having a blast and enjoying just playing music and being creative. If you like it, killer. If not, thank god there are thousands of other artists for you to enjoy.

Thanks Dave! I gave it a lot of thought and, you're right: If we all got a chance to hear every band's first noodlings and had a forum like this one, the "2 cents" factor would have to be taken with a grain of salt as the band's evolution is taking place.

That said, I think you are all doing a great job, not that it counts unless we're butt smooching. :) My inner Producer is proud and you not giving a fuck what we think is an enviable position!
