Ask A Question
As well as this site, I run thepanicchannel.com and the tpc myspace pages. I get a lot of questions about the band etc. And lately, they have been slipping through the cracks. So how about asking them here in the comments of this post, and ill do my best to answer as many as I can during this week's onslaught.

Man, I love the album! I am curious now that the album has been out, how do you feel about the record label choosing to release "Why Cry" first as apposed to the bands internet release "Teahouse of the Spirits"?
Look forward to seeing you in FL since I missed you on the first round of shows!

Hey Steve,
I heard that TPC would be opening for RHCP this fall. That would be an awesome show but unless RHCP schedules more dates, they're not coming back to Denver and I would not be able to see TPC.
Is TPC going to have a headlining tour this fall? I need my TPC fix. You guys are awesome live! I love the intimate feeling of the shows.

Oh, I forgot to ask. In regards to the thepanicchannel.tv give aways/contest. Can we enter more than once a day? It doesn't say anywhere and I don't want to disqualify myself for entering several times a day (because I have been). I know others have been asking the same question.

Boxers or briefs
Triple edge or Mach 4
Spray, solid or roll on
and for the real important stuff...will you be coming east soon?

1. Do other members of TPC post or lurk here? How about a Q&A w/ Chaney?
2. How and when did you get into Web development, Steve?
3. Will TPC record an "unplugged" collection of tunes?
4. What's the most memorable show TPC has played thus far?

Looking forward to the onslaught!!
1) Is there any truth to rumors of The Panic Channel opening for Supernova on tour?
2) Will you be replacing Dazed & Confused with another cover this tour? If so, what?
3) When is Teahouse being released as a single?
Thanks!

When is the East Coast specifically NYC gonna get some (more) TPC love?
We are starting to feel like the step-child.
and...have you had fun so far promoting the CD?

1) is the band working on 'planchette' steadily, in fits & starts, or is it all focused on ONe now?
2) since ONe is out now, are you relieved and able to enjoy the ride? or is it too hectic?

When I heard the first Bloody Mary, I really loved it...instant favorite, I was insane for that song.
Then you reinvented the song...I was resistant, confused...how could you tamper with perfection!?!?
Now, I have grown to love the version on (ONe)...I mean, really, really love this "new" song.
I have always been curious...what was your reasoning for the revision? Where you just not feeling it? What made you take that brave leap and change up something so popular?
It was a daring move...and it paid off :)

Hey Steve, any idea if and when TPC will visit Holland?? Will Why Cry be released here as well?? (been spamming the radionetworks here for weeks, but no one seems to have heard about TPC yet....bloody shame though)

hi steve. I was wondering what happen to the orginal why cry (half hearted)? ashes and unholyghost? will they ever be played live again? and the white version of bloody mary.

Steve, does the cut-off sleeves have a reference to this icon, which looks like a bee to me?

Steve,
Been listening to the album non-stop for 2 days (it only just came out in the UK), which is saying something since I bought 4 other CDs the same day!
Anyway, the album's great, I really enjoy your melodies, man, they STICK.
I also really like the guitar work on it so I was curious how you & Dave divided the parts between you two. People would expect Dave to take the lion's share (and you can hear him a mile away on the heavy-groove riffs) but is that always a valid assumption, though? Who does most of the "accents" and the clean parts?
Cheers, can't wait for the next album (and the first UK tour!)

Hey Steve, love the album and your lyrics are incredible! I didn't hear about TPC opening up for RHCP but I did suggest it in their forum (with many people telling me no way in hell that would happen) hope i didn't spread the rumor but wouldn't mind seeing it. I know Mars Volta is their opening act for now. I saw you guys in DC with my girlfriend and we absolutely loved it.. we were right up in front and were feeling it bigtime! My question is: Can you explain what happened to the 13 count at the 9:30 club? I personally felt that the audience was offbeat and then I heard the audio got messed up. Can you clarify pleez.. I'm going to audition for Rockstar next season and I'm definitely going to sing a TPC song! (why hasn't any contestant even thought of that yet?!)

Steve,
Love (ONe) SO much that it has rarely left the cd player since I bought it the day it came out. I was wondering if you guys are still working on Planchette because I think Night One is great and would love to hear more like it. Also, when is the fall tour gonna start? Really looking forward to catching you guys again. Saw you in DC and you guys were amazing! You have such a great voice and the interactions between all the band members makes the shows so much fun. Really looking forward to another show!

Hey Steve,
what kind of acoustic guitars do you and Dave play?
Lots of love and thanks for all the great music and tons of inspiration

Are the purple streaks still purple, or have they faded to dodgy lilac?

What's up Steve,
Congratulations on an awesome first album. I saw you guys at the Dragonfly fall 04'. I'd really like to commend you on your growth as a frontman and songwriter. I'm sure it's a constant evolution. Having Perk, Dave, and Chaney must make it intense and surreal all at once. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys on tour.
Keep it up man! You're a testament that great things can happen if you work hard and believe in your dreams.
Cheers,
R

What guitar were you playing on Leno and Jimmy Kimmel?

Just two things:
1) What are you going to be doing with the rest of Planchette? Any plans for a release of the rest of it?
and;
2) Come out to Western Canada! Calgary has some of the best crowds this side of the Rockies!

Steve, missed you at Snitch at the TPC listening party. Can't wait to see you guys again in NYC! Here are some questions--hey, you asked for it!
1. What did you do with all the memorabilia we threw at you guys during the spring tour? Like our banner and Lite Brite, the necklaces Deena made, the Buddha head that Sean gave Perk, etc.
2. Is Teahouse the next radio single? Will there be CD singles for sale on TPC.com?
3. What about other merch, like the TPC guitar pick necklace that I stupidly didn’t buy at the shows?
4. What are the plans for Planchette? I LOVE NIGHT ONE. Immensely. Plays right into my historic love for the Ouija!
5. Did you do all the album artwork? Why the syringes? A reference to Bloody Mary or just in general?
6. TOUR!?! Plans, please…
7. What about a fanclub? Any plans for that (or is the Agency it)? We would love ticket presales, anyway.
8. Will you make tracks available for us to mess around with, like Trent did for the Only single?
9. Any more contests/Easter eggs planned?
10. Any plans for a DVD soon from the spring tour?
Whoa, that was more than a few, sorry.
Thank you for all you do for us, from the Q&A to the shows, the music, the signs during performances...it means so much to all of us.
Love,
Sue
