Halloween Season Are Go! or " Culturally it's important to acknowledge death".

Ahh. Fall seems like it arrived today in Los Angeles. Which means that the same old same old sunshine was briefly halted to allow for some cloud cover. There is always one day that signals that dark skies are around the corner, a day of possibility... the onset of Halloween Season, if you will.

The Halloween-obsessed young boy (kind a like a little me) who lives in my apartment complex is on Turbo Extreme mode: the gravestones are out in the garden, a zombie-white hand is jutting out from the dirt, cobwebs mysteriously have already accumulated in the trees. The way it should be.

Getting together the seasonal agenda to visit mazes and dark walks, like usual. Sadly this year will have no Hallowed Haunting Grounds... A moment of silence. please. Apparently some of the stuff went to this place.

A plant outside my bedroom window has decided to start growing tendrils into my bedroom. They're sneaky, these guys. One sent some spidery shoots into my kitchen over the stove a little while back. Kinda creepy, but I didn't want to stop them. I was really curious where they planned to go... seems like they had a whole concept, I wanted to see how it turned out. Someone chopped it up, and now we'll never know.

Now the one in the bedroom.

In plant logic, why go away from the sun? It doesn't make sense.

niether does this...

Wow! Nothing says Halloween like Paul Lynde, Margaret Hamilton, and KISS!! That's fantastic!

Hey steve, question for you - what theater was this picture taken in?

Together with the plant will come the ants and other crawling creatures. Make some space for them. What happened with the bees?

Steve, is it possible to put a button for Edit, Delete and Quotes for our posts?

i 2 like dessy am curious what became of the bee colony outside your window...as for your plant invader...my guess would be that in addition to sunlight it is seeking a food source (ie the humidity from showering or shower h20 in general) some plants don't require much light for photosynthesis and actually thrive better in darker and moist area's. perhaps your bathroom is the perfect cave-like atmosphere for it? let's just hope a bat colony doesn't take up residence next...snicker that could present some real problems.

ahh you said the magic word, Halloween! My myspace is already decked out for the occasion.
Bring it on!

I'm going to have great fun at Disneyland's Halloween Time and Universal's Horror Nights!

*sinister laugh* muhahahaha..

The plant... Invasion of the Body Snatchers!

How that movie scared me as a child.

I used to have an old school vintage poster of "Ace Frehley" in my bedroom as a kid.

He did have a serious guitar stance going on though....

awwww I come to the blog for one of new favorite bands and I find my Paul, what I lovely way to start October!

If I was given a chance, I'd slowly creep into your bedroom too...

Pooohr plant. Why did they have to kill it when it wasn't even done its journey, booh hoo aaaa...
