Thought? Oh, I'd say roughly 0.2%, give or take an inch. There's not much else to do when you're stuck in a frickin' hospital bed hopped up on meds and oxygen and constantly being reminded that biting the nurses is a Bad Thing as opposed to my idea of Good Clean Fun.
As for getting a life - I believe they hand those out at birth. On the other hand, if you're suggesting that I actually "do" something with said life at this point, sorry, but I already peaked and I've made more than my share of contributions to society, be it financial or hands-on. What have YOU done to try to make this f**ked up world a better place? I don't think leaving sarcastic replies to other people's comments count, but perhaps that's just a cultural difference. As for me, I intend to spend whatever months or years I have left making up for lost time with my family, lounging around the pool and marveling at cloud formations, and weather-permitting, watching the sunset. You know what, guys? It strikes me that this blog started with the early TPC jam sessions, and has ended now that TPC is effectively kaput. I'm a fan of Steve and the band, but the fact that this blog has been ignored for over 2 months by the guy that established it --- the same guy that professed such adoration of his fans, and was soooo solicitous of them when he needed their attention and dollars --- makes me rethink that. No one is obligated to post on his blog, but.... when people establish a "community" when they need it, and then abandon it when they don't, it doesn't speak well for their integrity. Not at all. Steve, I wish you the best... but next time, keep it more real.

(You try quitting your life to redord an album, spend your life in the studio, go through relationships etc etc and stil have time to post. Well what made me state the 'what if' was b/c I just came back from a life or death family situation and the friends I have on the internet had no idea that I had to leave town on the drop of a dime and what I was going through causing some of them to be angry at my 'ignoring' them. It was an attempt at using my situation to try and shed understanding of someone else's.
I am a gemini ... and I can relate to having periods of time that I seemed 'absent' to others around me ... especially online. I certainly didn't post it to be laughed at.
Ok – this is obviously going straight over the heads of some of you, but please try to listen to what I am saying.
When an artist invites fans into his life (be it Steve, be it whoever) and build a community around himself this creates a sort of unspoken contract between the people involved. The fans root for the artist, buy the records, spread the word, care etc etc etc. The artist in turn makes the fans feel as if they matter, he/she makes them feel as if they are a part of it all.
Dave Navarro has mastered this to a ”T”. What is becoming increasingly obvious is that mr Isaacs (and no I don’t see it a s a huge loss or a disaster in my life that he is not posting, I do however find it sad that he turned out to be just the opposite of what he has pretended to be…) is only interested in keeping his bit of this unspoken accord when he has something to gain from it.
Do you really think that this website will be as dead when he has something going on he wants us to buy? When there is an album coming out or a tour coming up? No, I can guarantee you that no matter how busy he is – he will MAKE the time, because at that point the fans are important to HIM.
Steve chose to create this site and invite the fans into his life. While he has no responsibility to keep doing so – surely he has a responsibility to just drop all the people that care a note to say ”hey folks – sorry I’m absent will be back soon…” or something to that extent.
If you change a relationship, be it a friendship, a fansite whatever… you have a responsibility towards the people YOU invited in. 20 seconds would have fulfilled that responsibility. Clearly he did not find this important. Hed id not find tha fans important. Hence my criticism of him (and nayone else who pretends to give a shit but is just after personal gain).
A short note explaining his absence, saying he’d be back… It wouldn’t have killed him. Would have shown people he was for real. And would have kept a lot of the fans still respecting him.
If you disagree – fine that is your prerogative, just as my view is mine, so please refrain from the childish personal attacks.
Oh and by the way – the scorned lover bit… Please – I am male and married (happily so).
But as a journalist, I this interesting… I find the lack of realness (for lack of a better word) to be quite insulting to all the people who rooted for him. HE invited the fans in. Don’t forget that…
And in all honesty – he should take lessons from Dave Navarro in how to keep a line of communication going with the fans. Because whilst Mr Isaac’s fans are feeling increasingly deserted, the Navarro ones are happy campers indeed.
I certainly doubt that any true fan (or friend) of TPC could be the least bit happy with either of them, at the moment. When there is NO communication, only miscommunication, I, for ONe can trust NO ONE.....period!
Well, at least now the cards have (really) been laid-out on the table, if anyone is really interested in viewing them. I have said my piece, and my conscience is now free of the long-held 'guilt!' I really doubt that anyone will listen though, as noone ever has before!

Maybe, he has stopped posting because he saw just how dependent all of you really are, and for your own good, has stopped in order to get you unattached to a WEBSITE. Thought? Oh, I'd say roughly 0.2%, give or take an inch. There's not much else to do when you're stuck in a frickin' hospital bed hopped up on meds and oxygen and constantly being reminded that biting the nurses is a Bad Thing as opposed to my idea of Good Clean Fun.
As for getting a life - I believe they hand those out at birth. On the other hand, if you're suggesting that I actually "do" something with said life at this point, sorry, but I already peaked and I've made more than my share of contributions to society, be it financial or hands-on. Alex Gray and his wife built it, I think it costs 5 bucks to get in... freaking amazing!
Just want to reiterate that your music has really shined in my mind.. I found some album reviews of ONe that were horrendous and I just could not figure out for the life of me why people cannot get into the groove that is ONe..

You know what, guys? It strikes me that this blog started with the early TPC jam sessions, and has ended now that TPC is effectively kaput. I'm a fan of Steve and the band, but the fact that this blog has been ignored for over 2 months by the guy that established it --- the same guy that professed such adoration of his fans, and was soooo solicitous of them when he needed their attention and dollars --- makes me rethink that. No one is obligated to post on his blog, but.... when people establish a "community" when they need it, and then abandon it when they don't, it doesn't speak well for their integrity. Not at all. Well what made me state the 'what if' was b/c I just came back from a life or death family situation and the friends I have on the internet had no idea that I had to leave town on the drop of a dime and what I was going through causing some of them to be angry at my 'ignoring' them. It was an attempt at using my situation to try and shed understanding of someone else's.

When an artist invites fans into his life (be it Steve, be it whoever) and build a community around himself this creates a sort of unspoken contract between the people involved. The fans root for the artist, buy the records, spread the word, care etc etc etc. The artist in turn makes the fans feel as if they matter, he/she makes them feel as if they are a part of it all.
Dave Navarro has mastered this to a ”T”. What is becoming increasingly obvious is that mr Isaacs (and no I don’t see it a s a huge loss or a disaster in my life that he is not posting, I do however find it sad that he turned out to be just the opposite of what he has pretended to be…) is only interested in keeping his bit of this unspoken accord when he has something to gain from it.
Do you really think that this website will be as dead when he has something going on he wants us to buy? When there is an album coming out or a tour coming up? No, I can guarantee you that no matter how busy he is – he will MAKE the time, because at that point the fans are important to HIM.
Steve chose to create this site and invite the fans into his life. While he has no responsibility to keep doing so – surely he has a responsibility to just drop all the people that care a note to say ”hey folks – sorry I’m absent will be back soon…” or something to that extent.
If you change a relationship, be it a friendship, a fansite whatever… you have a responsibility towards the people YOU invited in. 20 seconds would have fulfilled that responsibility. Clearly he did not find this important. Hed id not find tha fans important. Hence my criticism of him (and nayone else who pretends to give a shit but is just after personal gain).
A short note explaining his absence, saying he’d be back… It wouldn’t have killed him. Would have shown people he was for real. And would have kept a lot of the fans still respecting him.
If you disagree – fine that is your prerogative, just as my view is mine, so please refrain from the childish personal attacks.
Oh and by the way – the scorned lover bit… Please – I am male and married (happily so).
But as a journalist, I this interesting… I find the lack of realness (for lack of a better word) to be quite insulting to all the people who rooted for him. HE invited the fans in. Don’t forget that…
And in all honesty – he should take lessons from Dave Navarro in how to keep a line of communication going with the fans. Because whilst Mr Isaac’s fans are feeling increasingly deserted, the Navarro ones are happy campers indeed.

I certainly doubt that any true fan (or friend) of TPC could be the least bit happy with either of them, at the moment. When there is NO communication, only miscommunication, I, for ONe can trust NO ONE.....period!

Maybe, he has stopped posting because he saw just how dependent all of you really are, and for your own good, has stopped in order to get you unattached to a WEBSITE. Remember, this site is really for him to unwind and write what HE wants, this is what a blog is. If he doesn't feel the need to write about things in his life, all the better, as this (hopefully)means all is going well with him, and he has no need to vent.
To compare him to Navarro is wrong, as Dave has completely embraced the internet life, and admits to it being a way to interact, hence the new show, and the im's.
A website takes up a lot of time to maintain, some of you have said that he has come here but not posted or whatever, but some people just like to browse.
