Crossroads
Hi there. I've (as you might know) pretty much stopped posting here, now I find myself at a crossroads. I used to post once a day, when the band was in full swing, but now as I go about my life in New York, I wonder about what to do with this blog. I have grown to really dislike Movable Type, and am bummed that it offers no good mobile blogging functions. I find myself wanting to take pics with the iPhone and do mobile postings, but my "state of the art" blog software wont let me.
Looked into tumblr.com, and while I LOVE the interface, the options are way too limited for my blog needs. Soooo. I still want to broadcast, but am not sure what and how. Brett just wrote me an exasperated comment, and I don't blame him for giving up on me. Guess I'm gonna do a bit more soul searching on what to do with this page - if anyone wants to chime in with a vote - please lemme know.

Hey Steve! At last!
How's that MacBookAir? The multitouch is awesome, I'm glad they introduced it in the new MacBookPro line-up too.
Have you tried to blog via your flickr account? Here's what I do with the iPhone:
Set up in flickr the option to upload picture by email.
Set up flickr to transfer picture+text to my blog (many blog platforms are available).
All I have to do is write an email with a pix I take, title of the email, message/text, and email it to my special flickr email.
Flickr creates a new entry on the blog, all formated, etc..
I saved the email addy in the iPhone, so it's a quick access. It works for me for now.
Let me know what do you think.

Steve,
I wasn't trying to be ugly, just miss your perspective here. I check this place often and was kinda of bummed you don't post anymore. Didn't mean any harm.
"I" vote for your return.

Hey, Steve.
My vote, if I may, is that you still poke your head in to let us know how you're doing. Not like it's really any of our business, but I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that we enjoy reading your musings and what you've been up to. I still check back here everyday to see what's up, figuring that you've been busy with the latest chapter of your life.
Either way, I support your decision and wish you nothing less than the best.

My vote:
Hire me to update your blog for you. I'll throw in a bonus 25% wittiness for free.
You send pics, i use pics to update. You send check, i use money to buy iPhone.
i then create my own blog where i bitch that i cannot update it with said iPhone.
Then i give up and just continue to update yours for the sweet pay.
We all win.

^ Damn it!!!! Someone already beat me to the punch. Would totally dig being your computer bitch and post your stuff for you through emails/Facebook :P
Crossroads I understand ... maybe it's being a Gemini or it's just a time in the world that certain ppl are experiencing it simultaneously.
I am willing to be flexible for the charge ... I am sure there are ways you could be of benefit to someone like myself when I am at my crossroads currently as well.
Ahhhh ... to dream :)
All half ass kidding aside, whatever route you take - I hope you are back posting soon. It's boring when you can't live vicariously through others :P

i hate to say it but joe's idea isn't half bad =P
...i for one miss the old daze of getting inside your head for a bit...and laughing and pondering things about life as seen thru the witty/funny eyes of mr.steve isaacs....sadly i don't know a whole helluva lot bout moveable type, css...etc
so i'm no help there.....but if you can find a place that suits your posting needs......my vote is you continue....there may be nothing new going on in the world of TPC....but we still love and miss our fearless leader....and would appreciate it immensely if you could post from time to time and let us know how u & the mrs. are doin......
much luv big guy

aaahahahahahahahahaha
Like anyone who actually still checks in here to read your blog would say, "Well Steve, I say shut er down!" Obviously it only matters what you want to do, not what we want...or else you'd be blogging all the time. I'll humour you though hun...a lot of us are still here after all this time, so I say blog away young jedi...

I really missed your quips, thoughts, wisdom and chatter. I looked every few days for new Steve-isms and thankfully you responded. Please keep up the blog for the folk like myself...slightly left of plumb. Your humor and musings keep some of us in check with our own sanity.
Welcome back!

Hmmm...the ubiqitous "busy" New Yorker with no time to blog. Not havin' it. Keep it and just blog when and where you can. Although you still have a loyal audience here, you should keep it for yourself. It'll be cool to see all of it in say, 30 or 40 years. Something to show the grandkids... who knows we may all be living in cyberspace by then...
Are you playing any acoustic gigs anywhere around town?
